Computer vision is the science that aims to give machines the capability to see and visually sense the world around them. It involves the extraction, analysis and understanding of useful information from a single image or a sequence of images. Computer vision is applicable in virtual reality, robotics, bio metrics, and facial recognition.
WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?
This course is for you if you are are interested in technologies that involves image processing and computer graphics.
Note that this course will require some level of mathematics.
WHY TAKE THIS COURSE?
This course provides an introduction to computer vision and the fundamentals of motion estimation and tracking, image processing, segmentation and grouping, boundary detection and recognition. At the end of this course you will develop basic methods for applications that include edge detection, image stabilization, motion tracking, facial and number recognition.
HOW THIS COURSE WORKS
The SDP online training puts you in a virtual class with peers who have similar aspirations.
You will be assigned weekly tasks, assignments and hands-on projects.
Your learning process is directly supervised by seasoned tech professionals in the industry called mentors.
This course is for 10 weeks (6-8 weeks for learning, 2-4 weeks for capstone project).
For effective communication, we will use an online document system, group-emails (for Q&A) and periodic chat sessions with mentors.
There will also be performance score measurement.
